Programming

Urban Youth Adventures is based around its programming for youth aged 10 to 18 and living in the North End of Winnipeg. By connecting regularly with youth through skill-based programs we have the opportunity of helping them grow and develop in ability, character and confidence — traits that lead to success Our volunteers and staff believe in the youth, and demonstrate this through building relationships, offering encouragement and getting to know the youth personally. All of our programs incorporate character development and help the youth grow as people and leaders in their communities. Program monitoring takes place through wrap-up times with volunteers and staff, where we evaluate the effectiveness of the programs and their impact on the youth and families. We also actively seek input from the youth, parents and others in the community.
